Social Media

My Social Media Journey

Many years ago, as I was learning to grow my art Instagram account, I knew I wanted to help more businesses grow online. This drove me to study social media as I pursued my Marketing and digital design degree! Currently, I’m a Digital Marketing Specialist at a women’s fashion boutique, Finnleys. Here I manage all social media, email, text marketing, graphic design, and e-commerce. You can see some of my work below. Keep reading if you’re curious about where the rest of my work comes from!

When I was in Colorado, I worked as a Sr. Social Media Specialist at a marketing agency. There I managed 30 client’s social media accounts. Along with account management, I created monthly social plans, graphics, and managed reviews.

My first job out of college was a Graphic Design and Event Coordinator Internship for A-mazing Events. Along with the graphic design and administrative work, I also had the opportunity to help manage their social media accounts. I designed graphics for social, wrote copy, and created social media plans.

During my senior year of college, I was an intern at ThinkLocal, WI where I ran their Facebook account and helped with graphics. I was later promoted to the Social Media Manager position for one of their clients, @lynlakebrewery.

In addition to the real-world projects below, you can also find some mock-up story designs, post ideas, and Instagram grids at the bottom!

Finnleys

At Finnleys, I conceptualize, create and publish content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, Google, and Pinterest. During my time here I’ve also coordinated with UGC creators, Influencers, and giveaways with local businesses. In addition to social media, I create graphics for socials, emails, text and website. AdPro

As a Sr. Social Media Specialist, I create social posts for 30 different accounts. The client portfolio is very diverse which I love! Some of my clients include car dealerships, resorts, trucking companies, mental health programs, the Colorado State Fair, and many more! A few of the posts I’ve created can be seen here –>

Videos are one of my favorite things to post on social for my clients. I’ve linked a few of my favorites below:

A-mazing Events

My first social media campaign at A-mazing Events (AE) was an anniversary campaign. I designed an anniversary logo and created a series of 16 posts (one for each year of the business.) In addition to this campaign, I created two 2022 social media plans for the business. A few of the posts for this plan can be seen here –>

ThinkLocal, WI

Using Canva as my main tool, I created graphics for ThinkLocal’s main account and La Crosse account. My main focus as an intern was to create a cohesive brand image, color palette, and templates for other employees to use on other ThinkLocal accounts.

ThinkLocal, WI

Another part of my internship was to interview local businesses and write blog posts about the company. Before, during, and after the blog was posted I scheduled social media posts to remind readers about it. For example, these images were created for Dales’ Clothing in La Crosse, WI.

LynLake Brewery

I worked with a team of creators to grow and build @lynlakebrewery Instagram and Facebook. By using several collaborative applications, I received details on upcoming events and specials, collaborated to get photo content created, and scheduled posts. In addition to posting on the feed, I focused on increasing engagement using stories, polls, and infographics.

Mock-Up

Here are a few examples of post, story, and grid ideas for small businesses! These are all stock photos, however, I do have a Canon M50 Camera and have taken several photography classes.
